In the name of God Amen the eleventh day of Julie Anno [in the year of] 1628 I Thomas Cullen of Upton in the countie of Nottingham yeoman being sicke in bodie but of good & perfect memorie thanks bee given to Almightie God doe make this my last will & testament in manner & forme followinge ffirst I bequeathe my soule into the hands of Almightie God my maker & Redeemer & my bodie to the earth. And as touchinge my temporall goods cattells & chattells I do bequeathe as hereafter followeth viz. [namely] Imprimis [firstly] I do give & bequeathe unto Sara Cullen my daughter twentye poundes of lawfull money of England to bee paid when she shall attaine to the adge of one & twentie Item I do give & bequeathe to John Cullen my sonne ffortie shillinges of lawfull money of England & one [indecipherable] and a panst ould in full satisfaction of his childs part the money to bee paid when he shall attaine to the adge of one & twentie Item I give & bequeathe to William Cullen my sonne tenne poundes of lawfull money of England in full satisfaction of his childs part to bee paid when he shall attaine to the adge of one & twentie Item I give & bequeathe to Thomas Cullen my sonne tenne poundes of lawfull money of England in full satisfaction of his childs part to bee paid when hee shall attaine to the adge of one & twentie Item I also give & bequeathe to George Cullen my sonne tenne poundes of lawfull money of England in full satisfaction of his childs part to bee paid when hee shall attaine to the adge of one & twentie Item I bequeathe to Richard Cullen my sonne five poundes of lawfull money of England in full satisfaction of his childs part to bee paid when hee shall attaine to the adge of one & twentie Item I do give & bequeathe to Robert Cullen my sonne all the goods which he now hath in his possession viz. [Transcription: Condition of the Obligation]:
The Condition of this obligation is such that if the above bounden Elizabeth Cullen Executrix of the last testament and will of Thomas Cullen late of Upton in the County of Nottingham yeoman deceased doe make or cause to be made a true and perfect Inventorie of all the goods cattells and rights of the said deceased which since his death have come to her hands possession or knowledge and the same so made doe exhibit or cause to be exhibited into the Registry of the [indecipherable] at or before the [indecipherable] next ensuing And the same goods cattells and credits doe well and truly administer according to her knowledge and the law and further doe make or cause to be made a true and just accompt of her said administration at or before the [indecipherable] next ensuing And all the rest and residue of the said goods cattells and credits which shall be found remaining upon her said accompt the same being first examined and allowed by the Judge or Judges for the time being shall deliver and pay unto such person or persons as the said Judge or Judges by his or their decree or sentence shall limitt and appoynt And if it shall hereafter appeare that any last will and testament was made by the said deceased and the Executor or Executors therein named doe exhibite the same into the said Courte making request to have it allowed and approved accordingly if the said Elizabeth Cullen above bounden being thereunto required doe render and deliver up the said letters of administration (approbation of such testament being first had and made) in the said Courte then this present obligation to be void and of none effect or els to remaine and be in full force and vertue.
