of North Muskham, Nottinghamshire, April 26, 1661 On the same day, year, and place, before Master Gilbert Benet, Clerk, Master of Arts, lawfully deputed surrogate of the Commissary of the Chapter of the Collegiate Church of the Blessed Mary the Virgin of Southwell in the county of Nottingham, Administration of all and singular the goods, rights, credits, and chattels which were of Thomas Cullin, late of North Muskham in the county of Nottingham and within the jurisdiction of the said Chapter, deceased (as it is said) intestate, being within the same jurisdiction at the time of his life and death, was and is committed, in the name and by the authority of the said Chapter, to Anne Cullin, widow, the relict of the said deceased, for the well and faithfully administering of the said goods and other premises, and for the paying of the debts of the said deceased according to the requirements of the law, and for the making of a true and perfect Inventory of the same goods and other premises and exhibiting it into the special Court of the said Chapter, and also for the rendering of a true, full, plain, and faithful account, calculation, or reckoning of and upon her administration in that behalf, and finally that the deceased, so far as she knows or believes, died intestate, she having first been personally sworn before the aforesaid surrogate (saving the right of whomsoever), an Inventory having been exhibited by her (by virtue of her corporal oath taken upon the Holy Gospels of God) for the full value [of the estate] provided to her, and also [with] a cautionary bond of surety, and as is evident by the same and given the date of the twenty-sixth day of the month of April in the Year of our Lord 1661: the other [copy] having been delivered back.
