I am trying to find out about my Grandfathers Family: His name is James Cullen born 29.04.1883 in Ballymena. He joined the British Army and spent most of his life in India. He married Alice Holloway b.1893 who was born in India and returned to England in the 1930's. I believe he had brothers. If anyone can help me find my Grandfather's family I would be very grateful. My grandfather, James Cullen, was born in Ballimena, N.Ireland in 1874 and was a Lieutenant the British Army in India where he lived most of his life. He was married to Alice Holliday. There were three children to the marriage: an elder son who died in Northern India, my father Gordon Desmond James Cullen, and a sister Phylis Cullen. My father, Gordon Desmond James Cullen, was born in Nemich India in 1921 and died at 74 yrs in 1995. I hope this is enough information to shed light onto my links with the Cullen name. Any information on my grandfather's family is appreciated.

Mary Cullen married James McGovern in Co. Antrim in approx. 1823. Had six children, 3 boys, 3 girls. Possibly all born in Co. Antrim. Boys: Bernard born 1824, John born 1825, James born 1838. Don't know 3 girls names. Family immigrated to New York City in approx 1840. Father and girls died about 1850. Mary died 1852. Boys moved on to Mississippi. Love to hear from anyone that knows more about Mary Cullen's side of the family.

Mary CULLEN married Edward CUSHMAN before 1830 probably in County Antrim.
Edward Cushman b ca March 1829/30, and Daniel Cushman b.1 May 1838, both in County Antrim. Edward came to US in 1851 and married Mary SAVAGE Jan. 1854 in Boston, MA. Daniel married Bridget O'Neil in Ireland before coming to the US in 1866. I am Mary CULLEN's gggranddaughter. Thanks for the opportunity to share.
